TERM 1 Middle and Senior School SWIMMING 2015

Boys who choose Swimming as a sport must attend the two training sessions weekly and be able to swim around 400 metres comfortably.  Those boys who train after School regularly with a registered swimming club may nominate swimming as their summer sports choice and train with their club instead because of the club’s significant coaching and competitive programs.  They need to seek confirmation from the teacher-in-charge of Swimming or the Head of Sport by providing proof of their club or TSI membership and their training program.

It commences in Week 1 at the Hobart Aquatic Centre.  The training venue is both the Hobart Aquatic Centre and the Collegiate Pool.  Boys will be expected to find their own transport to and from the pools.  They can catch a bus outside the School Science block on Nelson Rd at around 3.40pm that travels past Davey Street and the Aquatic Centre.   They need to produce their School ID card to gain the School’s pre-paid entry [lane hire] to the pool.   School bathers are required.
